Celebrating 75 Years

Celebrating 75 years of service

2022 is a momentous year for PFCU as we reflect on serving Michigan communities for 75 years. As a cooperative credit union, we’re a not-for-profit that is owned and run by our members. Since our formation in 1947 we have given back to our members in various forms, such as competitive lending and savings rates, to help them reach their financial goals. In our early years, PFCU offered only one savings account and one loan product. We have grown into a full-service credit union providing every type of financial service our members require. We have grown from four employees in 1947 to more than 180 staff members, while our assets have grown from $3.5 million to more than $760 million. Our membership has increased from 3,000 to more than 53,000 in that time, giving us the opportunity to serve more communities and assist more people in reaching their financial goals.

From home banking basics such as money transfers to remote check deposit and easy on/off security functions for your Debit and Credit Cards, PFCU is positioned to give you a safe, comprehensive banking experience. In addition, we provide financial literacy for all age groups and stages of life.

Building for the future means giving everyone access to financial education and the ability to reach their financial goals. We continue to support our communities through donations and volunteering, sponsoring local events, and connecting with local organizations. PFCU is proud to be a part of the communities we serve and provide the financial products our members need to reach success. Help us celebrate 75 years of service as we continue to help those in our communities achieve their financial dreams.
