You can access and pay your PFCU loan through your PFCU Online Banking using a variety of options: 

Free & Easy Online Payment Methods:

Loan Payment from Share

• Log in to your PFCU Online Banking and select 'Loans' from the Main Menu
  • Not currently enrolled in PFCU Online Banking? Enroll Here
• Select 'Loan/Credit Card payments'
• Select the share you want the loan payment to come from 
• Select the loan you want the payment to go to 
• Select the payment type 
  • For a regular loan payment, select 'Regular Payment' 
• Ensure your Payment Amount is correct
  • The minimum monthly loan payment due will automatically fill here
• If you'd like to set-up an automatic, recurring payment, select 'Make this a recurring transaction'
  • If you select the 'make this recurring transaction' option, this loan amount will automatically be paid monthly on that same date until this is recurring transaction is canceled 
• Click 'Submit.' Review your information and select 'Confirm' to schedule transfer 

Loan Payment from External Financial Institution

• Log in to your PFCU Online Banking and select 'Menu' from the bottom toolbar
• Select 'Services' from the Menu
  • Not currently enrolled in PFCU Online Banking? Enroll Here
• Select 'Add External Account' 
• Enter your external account number, including any prefixes/suffixes, as required by external financial institution
• Select the Account Type from drop down
• Enter your external institution's routing number
• Select 'Continue'

This will initiate the micro-deposit process. If the above information was entered correctly and the account is legitimate and working, the external account will receive two deposits of less than a dollar. It typically takes 3-7 business days to receive the deposits.

• Once deposits have been received and recorded, return to your Online Banking Menu and select 'Services'
• Select 'Verify External Account'
• Select the external account that received the micro-deposits
• Enter the amounts received in the appropriate fields in the order they were deposited
• Select 'Continue'

If the amounts entered are matched with the amounts received, a “success” message will display and the processing is complete. The external account is now available for transactional use.​

• Please allow 3 - 5 business days to connect your external account
• Once your external account is connected, follow the instructions above to make a Loan Payment from Share 

Credit Card Payment

• Log in to your PFCU Online Banking and select your Credit Card from the Home Screen. This will take you to the DX Online site where you can register your card, view transactions and make a payment from any financial institution

Other Online Methods of Payment:

There will be a fee of $10.00 assessed for making a payment with a credit card or debit card and a $5.00 fee for doing an electronic transfer from another institution. See above for other options to make payments free of charge.

Tips for Other Methods of Payment

• Have your account number ready:  this will be a 3 - 8 digit number with NO preceding zero's
• Have your loan ID number ready:  this will be a 1 - 4 digit number.  If your loan ID number is less than 4 digits - add zero's to the front of the number to make it a total of 4 digits.

Your Payment Confirmation

If you enter your email when making an online payment, you will have a confirmation emailed to you. You can print the confirmation page. If you are paying by phone, you will get a confirmation number. The confirmation number will also show up on your statement and history.

Few things are more embarrassing than picking up the tab at dinner or paying a vendor only to have your card declined for lack of funds. PFCU’s Courtesy Pay has you covered with overdraft protection from your Michigan credit union. You won’t overdraft on your account or bounce a check because PFCU will pay for the shortage in funds up to an approved limit*. The limits vary for each individual account.

Here’s How Courtesy Pay Works

• PFCU offers Courtesy Pay to every account holder, and overdraft protection is at the discretion of PFCU based on how you manage your account.
• PFCU charges the normal non-sufficient fund fee (currently $25**) for each item that draws your account negative.
• You have 30 days to bring the account current through deposits made by funds transfer, direct deposit or a deposit made in person or by mail.

You are eligible for Courtesy Pay once your account has been active for 30 days and you’ve attained total deposits equaling $1,000. If you wish to opt out of the Courtesy Pay program, simply contact your local PFCU office and your Courtesy Pay limit will be removed.

PFCU reserves the right to suspend Courtesy Pay privileges if we believe there has been misuse of the program, if your account is not in good standing, or if you exhibit poor account management.

Wire Transfers at PFCU

Occasionally funds need to be sent or received quickly and a wire transfer is the answer! At this time, PFCU does not perform wire transfers TO foreign countries.

Outgoing Wire Transfers - to Another Financial Institution

Your signature is required to send an outgoing wire transfer to another financial institution. If you cannot come into one of our offices to sign, you may request a wire transfer by faxing the form to us. For your convenience, you may print the wiring form, fill in the blanks, sign it and fax it to us at 517-647-5223.  For your protection, we will call you to verify the wiring information. The phone number we have for you in our system MUST have been on record for at least 30-days for us to proceed with the wire transfer.

Besides your PFCU account information, you need wiring information from the other financial institution so it is best to call them directly. Some things you will fill in on the wiring form:

• Full name of the other financial institution
• Their Routing and Transit number
• Address of financial institution
• The final recipient’s name and address
• The final recipient’s full account number in which to deposit
• The reason for the wire transfer
• Fee for an outgoing wire is $20.00.

Built with the standard functions of an ATM, an ITM features video chat that connects you to a live teller. The video teller can guide you through every step of your transaction and answer questions about your account. These are a very convienent way to access your account.

Benefits of interactive teller machines (ITMs):

• Flexibility: ITMs offer expanded hours for face-to-face service and are ideal for members who seek personalized service but don’t have the ability to visit in branch during normal business hours.

Friday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

Saturday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

 

• More Tailored Transactions: ATMs are typically limited in dispensing preset cash denominations, often in increments of twenty. If you would like smaller change bills, ITM can provide cash in smaller increments.
• User Friendly: With an easy-to-use interface, most members will have little to no trouble using an ITM, even for the first time.
• Increased Security: In the event you lose your ATM or Debit Card, or don’t have it on you, you can be identified using your photo ID. Even if you don’t have your ID, we have other features in place to confirm your identity.
• Lower Fees: By visiting a foreign ATM, you are subject to additional fees imposed by that institution. A single withdrawal can cost up to $5 per transaction. In contrast, visiting a PFCU ITM will cost nothing for your transaction.
• Bill Variety: At almost all PFCU ITMs you have your choice of bill variety when cash is dispensed, so you can get the bill types you need.

ITMs are available at all PFCU branch locations. 

 

Pro TIP: An ITM can also be used as a normal ATM, just insert your debit or ATM card. During non-business hours the ITM will function as an ATM only.
