PFCU Credit Union partnered with the Ionia Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to host a free community workshop titled “8 Strategies to Improve Your Business Social Media.” Held at the historic Ionia Theatre on April 15, the event was open to the public and welcomed local business owners, entrepreneurs, and residents interested in enhancing their social media skills.
Led by marketing professionals Danielle Jorae, Madeline Shellberg, Delaney Gross and Ben Weller, the workshop provided practical tools and easy-to-implement strategies to help businesses grow their online presence, connect with customers, and strengthen their brand through social media platforms.
“At PFCU, we believe in supporting our community in meaningful ways,” said Ben Weller, Community Engagement Officer at PFCU Credit Union. “By partnering with the DDA, we were able to offer valuable, no-cost education to help local businesses and individuals thrive in a digital world.”
The workshop is part of an ongoing effort by the Ionia DDA to support small business growth and community engagement in Ionia.
Cassie Rice, Ionia DDA Director, added, “We were thrilled to partner with PFCU to bring impactful social media education to our community. Collaborations like this enable the Ionia DDA to provide diverse learning opportunities that help local businesses and individuals sharpen their skills, stay ahead of the curve, and thrive in a fast-changing business landscape.”
