It’s never too early to start learning about saving and that’s why we’re excited to offer our Youth Summer Savings Challenge, designed specifically for members ages 0–17. With every deposit your child makes, they’ll be building financial confidence and earning chances to win exciting prizes.
Why a Savings Challenge?
Between vacations, camps, and busy schedules, summer can be a great opportunity to introduce real-world money lessons in a low-pressure way. Whether your child is earning allowance, babysitting, or just learning the basics, this challenge helps turn saving into a positive habit.
Plus, who doesn’t love a chance to win something fun?
How It Works
Getting started is simple:
- Your child must have a Dollar Duck, Cash Cadet, or Teen Connection account
- For every qualifying deposit, they earn one entry into our quarterly drawing
- Deposits can be made:
- Online
- In-branch
- Through direct deposit
- Entries are limited to one per day per member, no matter how many deposits are made
Even better—there’s no purchase necessary, and an alternate entry option is available by mail.
Prizes Kids Will Love
We’ll randomly draw one winner from each youth account group.

(Ages Newborn - 5)

(Ages 6 - 12)

(Ages 13 - 17)
The more consistently your child saves, the more chances they’ll have to win!
A Win Beyond the Prizes
While the prizes are exciting, the real reward is helping your child build a lifelong habit of saving. Small, regular deposits can teach:
- Goal setting
- Patience and delayed gratification
- Financial responsibility
- Confidence in managing money
By participating, your child isn’t just entering a drawing—they’re developing skills that will benefit them for years to come.
Ready to Get Started?
If your child already has a PFCU youth account, they’re automatically eligible—just start saving! If not, now is a great time to open one and join the fun.
